NIYA - Emotional Fitness for Indians Abroad

You left India for something better.
NIYA is here for the emotional cost that comes with it.

Emotional Fitness for Indians abroad—built by Indians, for Indians, wherever you are.

Here's something that nobody tells you before you leave.

The visa came through. The family celebrated. The loan was taken. The ticket was booked.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, you smiled and said you were ready.

Maybe you were. But there is a version of this journey that nobody prepares you for.

The first Sunday abroad when the room goes quiet and you don't know what to do with that. The call home where you say "I'm fine" and mean something else entirely. The slow, accumulating weight of carrying your family's hope and your own doubt at the same time.

This isn't a crisis. It isn't weakness. It is the specific, invisible experience of being far from home.

And for a very long time, there has been nowhere to take it.

NIYA is here for that.

What is Emotional Fitness?

The practice of building the internal strength to carry what your life abroad actually requires of you, without it quietly breaking you down.

Built by Indians. Counsellors who understand your language, your context.

WHO IT'S FOR

For students going abroad—or already there

You've done the hard part of getting here. The IELTS, the applications, the visa, the goodbye. What comes next could be harder than anyone told you—and almost nobody is designed to help with it.

NIYA has a programme built for the full journey: the weeks before you leave India, and the months after you land.

For Indian professionals already abroad

You're not new to this. You've been here a while. The career is working. The LinkedIn profile looks exactly as it was supposed to. But underneath all of that, there's still something you haven't found the right words for yet.

NIYA is for the weight that doesn't go away just because the settlement did. Available when you need it, with someone who already understands the context.

THE OFFERING

FOR STUDENTS

THE PROGRAMME

Before you board

4 weeks • 5 sessions • Students + Parents • Designed by senior psychologist

Most of the preparation for going abroad focuses on what you're taking with you—documents, clothes, bank accounts. Nobody prepares you for what you're feeling.

NIYA's Programme is 5 structured sessions in the weeks before you leave India.

2 Complimentary 1:1 Counselling Sessions

Yours to use whenever you need them—any time within your first 3 months abroad. Some students use one before they leave and one after landing. Some save both for when the first hard stretch hits. The timing is entirely yours.

The Emotional Fitness Gym

A growing library of short, independent activities—10 to 15 minutes—available from the day you join, running through your entire first 3 months. No scheduling, no commitment. Tools for the Sunday spiral, for homesickness, for exam pressure, for the days when everything feels like too much.

Monthly Peer Community Circles

Once a month for 3 months, a niya counsellor opens a space for students now abroad to talk. Not a lecture. Not content. A real conversation—what's hitting you, what's helping, what you wish someone had told you. Facilitated so it stays grounded. Driven by what the group is actually going through.

FOR WORKING PROFESSIONALS

ON-DEMAND COUNSELLING

When the weight accumulates

Available whenever you need it

You're not new to this. You didn't just arrive.

You've been here long enough to know that some weight doesn't leave just because the visa got renewed or the apartment lease was signed. It sits differently now—quieter, but still there.

NIYA's on-demand counselling is for when you need to speak with someone who already understands the context. No intake forms explaining your background. No having to translate your experience into language that fits someone else's framework.

Book a session when you need it. With counsellors who get it.
